DIY2D1

Privacy and your information

DIY2D1 is permanently closed. Account sign-in, dashboards, and in-app requests are no longer available.

For access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information, contact support@diy2d1.com. Preserved records are restricted to recovery and handling these requests. We do not sell personal information or use athlete records for targeted advertising.

This retirement page does not use sign-in, forms, cookies, or application analytics. Our hosting provider may process ordinary request information to deliver and secure the page.

If you installed the DIY2D1 Questionnaire Assistant, you can remove it from Chrome. The existing privacy commitments for information handled by the extension remain in effect.

Privacy policy from the active service

The following policy is preserved for reference. Its descriptions of active dashboards and in-app controls are historical; please use the email above for current requests.

DIY2D1 is a recruiting organization and decision-support service for student-athletes and the families, guardians, coaches, and advisors helping them. This policy explains what the service collects, why it is used, when it is shared, and how an account holder can control it.

Information you provide

We may store account email and display name; athlete identity, graduation year, sport, positions, school and team information; approximate home ZIP and distance; academic and athletic facts; externally hosted video and schedule links; profile photos; target schools; communications, tasks, calendar items, family notes, offers, NIL records, recommendations, evidence sources, team memberships, and feedback reports. DIY2D1 does not require a precise home address.

Public packet choices

Athlete information stays inside the permitted dashboard unless an editor deliberately creates a public coach-packet link. Each packet shows the information selected at creation, can be created for a specific recipient, may expire, and can be revoked. Packet analytics record the time and type of interaction, such as opening the packet or following its video link. DIY2D1 does not store an IP address in the packet-analytics record.

How information is used

Information is used to operate family dashboards, personalize the sport-specific workflow, organize outreach and decisions, generate requested AI assistance, maintain security, provide support, correct data, and improve reliability. DIY2D1 does not sell personal information and does not use athlete records for targeted advertising.

Service providers

Supabase provides authentication, database, and file storage. Cloudflare provides delivery, security, and application hosting. OpenAI processes the limited dashboard context a signed-in user deliberately submits to DIY2D1 Copilot. Google may provide sign-in, and external sites such as YouTube, Hudl, Instagram, X, or school websites receive information when a user opens their links. Their own policies govern those services.

Chrome Questionnaire Assistant

The optional DIY2D1 Questionnaire Assistant handles only the family-approved answer pack that a signed-in user deliberately enables for the current Chrome session. The answer pack stays in Chrome's in-memory extension storage and is cleared when Chrome restarts, the extension reloads, or the extension updates. It is not synced through Chrome, sold, used for advertising, or made available for human review.

After the user clicks the extension on an official form, field labels and approved answers are matched locally in the browser. The extension does not transmit the form, field labels, or approved answer values to DIY2D1, OpenAI, a college, or another third party. It fills only the matches the family selects, highlights its changes, and never submits or finalizes a form.

The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Student-athletes and children

DIY2D1 is for athletes age 13 and older. We do not permit athlete dashboards for children under 13 and do not ask for a birthdate. A user creating or operating an athlete dashboard must confirm that the athlete is at least 13. If we learn that a dashboard concerns a child under 13, we will disable it and delete the associated child data. Adults should supervise public packet sharing for every minor.

Retention, security, and deletion

Records remain while the account or relevant dashboard is active, unless a shorter period is stated. We use access controls, private file storage, scoped family membership, and encrypted network connections. No system is perfectly secure. Account owners can export important records, revoke packet and family access, remove photos, and permanently delete their account and owned athlete dashboards from Account. Limited security logs or backups maintained by service providers may persist temporarily under their retention schedules.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information. DIY2D1 already provides CSV export and account deletion. Submit a privacy request through the in-app Feedback control or email support@diy2d1.com.

Policy changes

Material changes will be dated here and, when appropriate, announced inside the service. Continuing to use DIY2D1 after a change means the updated policy applies prospectively.
